Last November, my husband and I went to awaken our 3 1/2 month-old son, only to find him dead in his crib! The cause: Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS), more commonly know as "crib death." There are no symptoms.
Almost as devastating as the loss of our son was the confusion and frustration that followed. Because so little is known about SIDS, parents are often left to face cruel questions from well-meaning but unenlightened friends and family. It is difficult to understand how a child who appears to be perfectly healthy and normal could die so suddenly for no apparent reason. It can lead to false accusations and unnecessary guilt for people who have already suffered enough.
The following facts are to enlighten readers:
1. SIDS is the sudden and unexpected death of an apparently healthy infant; the cause remains unexplained, even after an autopsy.
2. SIDS is the No. 1 cause of death among infants between the ages of 1 week and 1 year, although it is most likely to occur between the ages of 2 to 4 months.
3. An average of 7,000 babies die of SIDS every year.
4. SIDS is not caused by suffocation, aspiration or regurgitation. Most SIDS victims appear to be healthy before death, although a few may show symptoms of a slight cold shortly before death.
5. SIDS is not caused by child abuse or an immunization; it's neither contagious nor hereditary; and it occurs in families of all social and economic levels.
6. SIDS cannot be predicted or prevented. While the chilling question, "Why did your baby die?" still cannot be answered, SIDS experts today believe that some subtle abnormality in infant development occurring in the fetal stages predisposes some babies to SIDS. Our only hope in learning more about this tragic death lies in research.
Parents who experience this tragedy have special needs. The best advice the writer of this article can offer to their families and friends is: Don't say, "You'll have more children." Don't set limits on how long the parents should grieve. And, above all, don't try to substitute other children in the family to "replace" the one they've lost. Each child is irreplaceable.

Since our final authority is always GOD'S WORD, we turn to the bible for information that might apply to the mystery of crib death.
Is it possible that this stalker of infants is recorded for us in Isaiah 34:14, "The night monster shall settle there and shall find HERSELF a resting place?"
The Hebrew word "Lilith" in (Isaiah. 34:14) is translated in the (KJV) of the bible as "Screech owl", in the (NIV) as "night creatures", in the (RSV) as "night hag", and in the (Amplified) and (NASV) it is translated as "night monster".
Webster's dictionary defines it: -- Lilith (Hebrew Lilith Assyr-Bab. Lilitu, literally of the night) 1. In ancient Semitic folklore, a female demon or vampire that lived in desolate places. 2. In medieval Jewish folklore, A)the first wife of Adam, before the creation of Eve. B)a night witch who menaced infants.
In Jewish tradition, Lilith was the chief of the demonesses, princess of the succubi (female demons who seduce men in their sleep). Talmudic literature and Jewish tradition describe Lilith as the first wife of Adam (Gen. 1:27), but she refused to submit to his authority and was turned out of Eden and replaced by Eve (Gen. 2:22) to take vengeance on Adam, she tried to ensnare the children of eve.
Wierus and other demonologists reported that she sought to destroy newborn infants and for this reason the Jews used charms and amulets against her and wrote a formula (the names of the angels Sanvi, Sansanvi, and Semangelaf) on the four corners of a birthchamber to drive Lilith away.
The word "lullaby" is thought to derive from an incantation designed to repel her. Beloved, we know the use of these things are not God's way of dealing with demons. But we are adding this paragraph to show you the areas in which Deliverance needs to be done and for you to stop singing a lullaby to your children that could allow curses to be placed upon you and them.
Lilith is depicted as a female demon who haunts desolate places in company with such ghoulish beasts as wild cats, jackals, hyenas, and satyrs (represented as men with goat's legs, ears and horns). She is named in the cuneiform (wedge-shaped inscriptions used in ancient Assyrian and Babylonian times) inscriptions as an attendant of Namtar, the Babylonian god of plagues. Lilith appears on a Canaanite charm, and likewise in post-Biblical Jewish literature, as the child-stealing witch Lilith of worldwide folklore. She is identified as "the flying one". One of the same 8th century B.C. magical plaque shows her as having the feet and wings of an owl, standing flanked on each side by a large owl. Lilith is usually associated with unclean winged creatures and the bedlam caused by the screech owl.
Crib death, or SIDS, is the major cause of death of infants after the 1st month of life. In the USA between 10,000 and 15,000 die every year. Male children are more likely to die from crib death than females. Is there a connection between SIDS and the demoness Lilith? Much medical research has been done to find the cause of this silent killer, but the precise cause or causes of these tragic deaths have eluded medical science. All that's known is that the baby just stops breathing, usually after several hours of deep sleep. There is little (if any) signs of a struggle, and neither suffocation nor choking causes the deaths. In fact, it remains a mystery how a healthy baby could die with no sign of illness. Even autopsies have been unable to find the cause of death in most cases.
According to an article in a medical journal, among those infants who face a high risk of crib death are those who have: a family history of SIDS (especially brothers or sisters); seizure disorders associated with apnea (lack of breathing); Hyaline membrane disease, or prematurity.
Male children are more likely to die from crib death than females, and the rate among siblings (brothers and sisters) of victims is four times higher than usual.
Crib deaths are certainly not new in our century. Records indicate that crib death occurred at least as frequently in the 18th and 19th centuries as today, and is recorded as far back as the Old Testament of the Bible. (The account in I Kings 3:19 of a newborn infant dying while sleeping could have been a crib death, yet may have been attributed to "overlaying" by his mother for lack of a better explanation.)
Is there a connection between Sudden Infant Death Syndrome and the demoness Lilith? The reputation of the Lilith of Jewish tradition would indicate, to those who believe in demons or evil spirits, that she might be the cause of the deaths of thousands of innocent babies.
Take precaution by cleaning out your homes and your baby's room of those abominable things (night lamps made like an owl, elves, smurfs, faries, etc. Toys can carry many evil powers, and which have been dedicated to a false god).
He that hath ears to hear, let him hear, and bind this demon spirit and cast it out, in JESUS' name, breaking any inherited curse in the family line. According to (Gal. 3:13) JESUS became a curse so that we don't have to bear it.
Pray over, and do DELIVERANCE on your infants (even while still in the womb), and all your children.
The following message was received in August 1999:
"One day about two years ago, there was a program about children who "saw things" on "Cristina", a Spanish channel talk show (I am bilingual). I watched the program and there were some interesting things and some garbage. Cristina had at the end of the show a little girl about three years old, not more than four. Well, she had fallen asleep in her mother's lap by the time her turn arrived, so she asked the mother instead what was the girl "seeing". The mother said that her baby saw a woman in her bedroom at night, when she was in bed, and that the woman was inviting her to go with her, and that the baby told her that her name was Lilith. This show is not a Christian show by any means; these were all Spanish speaking people and who did not know anything about deliverance!"
Here is an email received on April 27, 2006: Praise the Lord Jesus Christ for His work at demonbuster.com. I have been reading and learning everything I can from your website. I found the SIDs part of the site and recalled an incident that I hadn't understood at the time. Glory to God, I now have knowledge of what happened one night almost two years ago. We had just brought my infant son home from the hospital. I had his bassinet in the living room and I was sleeping in the recliner beside him. I woke up to see a dark sinister image walking slowly down the hall toward the bassinet. Without even thinking, I stood up and marched straight into the shadowy figure with my hand out in front of me. I thrust my hand forward into the shadow and said something to the effect of "In the Name of Jesus, Depart from this place and never return." The shadow vanished. I picked my infant son up and held him tight. I felt in my heart that it had come to torment the baby because it was walking straight toward his bed. Praise Jesus. He is a healthy little boy today because of Jesus Christ.
