"Open your phone book and run your finger over the "churches" page. Now get ready for a revelation. These are not what JESUS Christ had in mind when He established the first century ecclesia. We don't need REVIVAL in our churches. Our contemporary calling is for a restoring "TRANSFORMATION". The word transformation is first cousin to "Metamorphosis". We recognize this term applying to the change the caterpillar undergoes in becoming a butterfly. Dictionary definition of metamorphosis is befitting of the needs of our "churches" today: "a change of physical form, structure, or substance especially by supernatural means. A striking alteration in appearance, character or circumstances. A marked and more or less abrupt developmental change in form or structure". Churches at best can produce little more than good church members. The restored ecclesia is God's provision for producing true disciples of JESUS Christ.
The walls of the city of Christ's original purpose for Jerusalem (the body and bride of Christ) have been broken down for nearly eighteen centuries! There is a Nehemiah call for the rebuilding of an identifiable called-out, separated people. A people obviously governed in all aspects of daily life under the Headship and Lordship of JESUS Christ. The places or "churches" where these truly separated people gather should and will be known as having the spiritual characteristics of ARMORIES, as ARSENALS, as HOSPITALS for soldiers wounded in (spiritual warfare) battle. TRAINING CENTERS producing genuine disciples as opposed to wimpy church-members.
These communities of Christ-followers stand as living, breathing organic (not organizational) testimony to the Living, Sovereign Christ. We must have eyes to see that this type of living bodies is the only kind worthy for the full Headship of JESUS Christ. Christ the Head joined to a proper ecclesian body creates a living co-operative EVANGELIST, DELIVERER, HEALER and DISCIPLE. This is the full-potency testimony "church" that must be restored as we move toward the Lord's coming. Ephesians 4:15 and 16 reads: "That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine; But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: from whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love".
Who of us will shout "the Sword of the Lord and Victory?"
To get our "churching" right, we do well to consider, along with Nehemiah's wall rebuilding, the Gideon's army sifting process of reduction. Qualitizing to the most potent remnant for the final warfares ahead is the necessary process for all facets of contemporary "Christianity". Consider Revelation 12:17: "And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of JESUS Christ".
God is not the author of confusion. satan has blinded virtually all of our leaders so they in turn are leading the blind. Correct eschatology is a must! How can we get somewhere unless we know where we are going and have a course mapped? I Thessalonians 5:4 says, "But you are not given up to the power of darkness, brethren, for that day to overtake you by surprise like a thief".
Dust off your Strong's Concordance and do a word study on the two Greek terms EXOUSIA and DUNAMIS. This will help define the kind of potent restored and activated "bucket and paper towel" DELIVERANCE essential for Christ-centered endeavors as our churches progress, transform and overcome.
It is high time we again become responsible to God concerning the education of Christian young people. Someone has well said "the bus to Molech is yellow". There are most likely precious Godly people in your local public school system but the curriculum doesn't originate there. The public school curriculum has been carefully thought out by wicked, ungodly, humanistic, planners in higher places out to destroy your children and the very fiber of home, family and Christian principles.
In closing, be advised and warned, we believe if you follow through on these exhortations, you probably will find you have a pew all to yourself. Your "Church" friends will give you wide berth. However, you may also find yourself much closer to the only friend really worth having; JESUS Christ, the Living Lord."
